M A M Arunachalam (Arun Murugappan) a fourth generation member of the Murugappa family, has been associated with Murugappa Group Businesses since 1991 and has worked in the Marketing and Commercial functions in Parry Confectionery Ltd, TI Cycles and Prodorite Anticorrosives and was President – Strategy & Business Development of EID Parry India Limited.
Presently, he is the Executive Chairman of Tube Investments of India Ltd and Non – Executive Chairman of Parry Enterprises India Limited, Cholamandalam Home Finance Limited, Shanthi Gears Ltd & TI Clean Mobility Pvt Ltd
Arun Murugappan also plays an instrumental role in establishing key alliances for our group companies both in India and across the globe. He is also on the Board of Directors of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited, CG Power & Industrial Solutions Limited, Ambadi Investments Limited, New Ambadi Estates Private Limited, AR Lakshmi Achi Trust (Sec 8 Company) and also in the Boards of Great Cycles (Private) Limited & Creative Cycles (Private) Limited, Sri Lanka.
Arun Murugappan is an MBA Graduate from the University of Chicago. Alumni of Doon School, Dehradun and he also has a B. Com degree from Loyola College, Chennai.
His hobbies include playing squash, tennis and golf. He also takes keen interest in motor sports.
